Carol Lee Catherman

Carol L. Catherman, 83, of Syracuse, New York, passed away at Loretto Health & Rehabilitation Center on Tuesday, December 23, 2025. 

She was born on February 17, 1942, in Luzerne, Pennsylvania. She moved at an early age and was raised in Baldwinsville, NY. 

Carol worked for many years as a Housekeeping Supervisor at Holiday Inn. Later in life, she went back to school and became a computer data entry clerk. She loved animals, traveling, and playing card games with her friends and family. 

She was predeceased by her parents, William Catherman and Mary (Kosmach) Marshall. 

She is survived by her siblings; William (Dolores) Catherman (Starke, FL), and Kathleen (Kenneth) Mordick (Huber Heights, OH); her children, Stephen Caltabiano (Solvay, NY), Anthony Caltabiano ( Port Orange, FL), Tracey (Andrew) Mecca (Columbus, GA), and Reynold (Margaret) Caltabiano (Fayetteville, NY); her grandson, Stephen Shorter (Mexico, NY); and her seven granddaughters, Jordan Mecca (Alexandria, VA), Madison Mecca (Columbus, GA), Ryan Mecca (Austin, TX), Antonia Estrada (Buford, GA), Carmelita Caltabiano (Buford, GA), Lindsey Caltabiano (Fayetteville, NY), and Claire Caltabiano (Fayetteville, NY). 

A private burial will be held at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Baldwinsville, NY.
