Carol A. Flowers, a beloved figure and dedicated member of her community, passed away on June 21, 2025, at the age of 78. Born on October 17, 1946, in Perth Amboy, New Jersey, Carol’s journey in life was marked by her compassion, dedication, and an unwavering spirit that touched the lives of many.

From 1992 until 2011, Carol served as the secretary for Dr. Wolf Wolfensberger in the School of Education at Syracuse University. Her commitment to education and advocacy continued after her retirement, as she enthusiastically assisted a local Citizens Advocacy group founded by Dr. Wolfensberger. Known for her professionalism and her compassionate heart, she had a lasting impact on those around her.

Carol earned her Bachelor’s Degree from Syracuse University, where she developed a lifelong appreciation for learning. She was not just an exceptional professional but also a nurturing soul who cherished her family and friends. She is survived by her two sons, Jason and Adam Flowers, and her grandson, Tyler Flowers. Carol held a special bond with her brother and sister-in-law Robert and Francesca Moore, along with her loving niece, Francesca Moore. She was blessed with a wonderful circle of friends who enjoyed traveling and sharing many happy times together, all of whom will miss her warmth and spirit.

Carol enjoyed all that life had to offer, and had many hobbies which included crocheting blankets for the Golisano Children’s Hospital, providing comfort to children in need. She was also an avid reader, particularly of mystery novels, and had a profound love for animals, especially cats.

Carol was predeceased by her parents, Rita and Robert Moore, and her aunt, Virginia Conquest. She was loved by all who met her and will be remembered for her kindness, dedication, and the joy she brought into the lives of others. Her legacy of compassion and service will continue to inspire everyone who knew her.
