Carol A. Takacs

Carol A. Takacs, 85, of Syracuse, passed away unexpectedly August 11, 2024 in Paris, on an overseas cruise in France. Carol was born in Syracuse on November 24, 1938 daughter of the late John & Helen Medyn. Carol retired from Van Duyn Home & Hospital in Syracuse. 

Carol volunteered for many years for the American Red Cross and for Lupus Foundation of America. She enjoyed gardening, arts and crafts, and her cats.

Carol was predeceased by her sister Jane Homa, brother-in-law, John Homa and her nephew Patrick Homa. 

She is survived by her children Abigail Medyn, Joseph Takacs and sister Irene (Robert) Dice, along with many nieces and nephews.

Services will be private at the convenience of the family.
