Catherine L. Shewell, 85, of Cicero, passed away peacefully on Wednesday. She retired from Hancock AFB where she worked as a chef at the NCO Club. She was a 30 year member of the Cicero American Legion, Post 787, Ladies Auxiliary.
She is survived by her children, Merle E. (Vera) Carver, Diane L. Borys, David V. Shewell, Russell J. (Mary Anne) Shewell, Barbara Ann Blanchard, Robin Lynn (Mark) Burton; fourteen grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; and three brothers.
Calling hours will be Tuesday from 4-6 PM at New Comer Funeral Home, 705 North Main Street North Syracuse. Services will follow at 6 PM, at the funeral home.
