Catherine R. Perrucci, aged 94, of Brewerton, passed away peacefully on January 23, 2026. Born in Brooklyn, New York, on May 26, 1931, she was the cherished daughter of Frank and Theresa Fiumano.
Catherine's early career was spent working alongside her husband at the Seneca Mall Shoe Repair in Liverpool, where they built a small family business that became a beloved part of the community. As their entrepreneurial spirit grew, they expanded their endeavors with Leather and Things, located in the PennCan Mall. These ventures were a testament to her hard work and dedication to her family.
In later years, Catherine found fulfillment as a bus attendant with the N. Syracuse School District, where she touched the lives of many children and their families. She approached every role in her life with warmth and a bright spirit.
Catherine had a passion for cooking, particularly known for her delicious meatballs, which were a highlight at family gatherings. She also found joy in crocheting, reading, and completing crossword puzzles, activities that brought her much joy and fulfillment. Above all, she treasured the time spent with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, creating lasting memories that they will all hold dear.
A beloved friend to many, Catherine had a unique ability to connect with those around her, making friends wherever she went. Her kind heart and generous spirit left an indelible mark on all who knew her.
Catherine was preceded in death by her cherished husband, Mario R. Perrucci; her father, Frank Fiumano; her mother, Theresa Fiumano; and her sister, Connie Chapman.
She is survived by her two daughters, Roxanne Tonetti and Mary Frances Perrucci; her two sons, Richard Perrucci and Michael Perrucci; her sister, Lucille Wilkinson; along with nine grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, and ten nieces and nephews.
Family and friends are invited to pay their respects during calling hours on Sunday, February 1, 2026, from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, where funeral services will follow at 4:00 pm. Catherine will be laid to rest on Monday at 10 am at St. Mary's Mausoleum in Dewitt.
Catherine will be remembered for her unwavering love, generosity, and the warm touch she brought to every life she encountered. Her legacy will continue to inspire and uplift all who were fortunate enough to know her.
