Charles R. Bates, born on December 12, 1956, in Syracuse, NY, passed away on May 30, 2025.
Throughout his life, Charles enjoyed crossword puzzles that entertained him for hours. His passion for music was evident in his extensive collection of CDs, which he proudly curated over the years.
Charles is survived by his daughter, Virginia Martinez. He was also a grandfather to his five grandchildren: Kyler, Christian, Adrian, Miguel, and Aubriana; and great-granddaughter, Vyolet.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Lois Bates, and his two siblings, David Bates and Susan Bates.
