Charles "Jack" Walker

"Jack" or "Charlie", 91, of Cicero, passed away Friday.
Born in Kirkville, he lived most of his adult life on Oneida Lake, which he loved.
He was a US Army Veteran and a TB Survivor. Jack was also a member of Memorial Lodge (formerly Centerville Lodge).
Jack was an Industrial Mechanic, working at Yale & Towne, Empire Freezer and Flickinger's. He also managed to keep three children plus in repaired cars and there wasn't anything he couldn't fix.
He loved his plants and gardening. The downstairs was a virtual greenhouse.
Jack had the first pontoon boat on Oneida Lake and the whole family enjoyed many rides.
In his later life, he loved playing golf. Go figure.
He is survived by his wife, Sally; his children, Bradd (Cherie), Eileen (Sven) Sloth and Donna (Dan) Nicksich; six grandchildren, Chris (Kelli) Walker, Katrina (Stephen) Skinner, Ben Kellogg, Emily Kellogg, Andrew Nicksich, and Derek Nicksich; six great-grandchildren, Gideon, Kylea, Elijah and Aubrey Skinner, Collin and Natalie Walker; one sister, Gracie Thorpe and one brother, Bill Walker.
Calling Hours will be 5-8PM Tuesday at New Comer Funeral Home, N. Syracuse. Funeral Service will be 10AM Wednesday at Cicero United Methodist Church. Burial Kirkville Cemetery.
Jack's wish was that no black was to be worn at the funeral. Also, please DO NOT bring anything to be fixed.
