Christina M. (Sands) Fenton, a devoted educator and spirited individual, passed away on September 17, 2025, at the age of 76. Born on October 19, 1948, Tina's life was dedicated to inspiring young minds and fostering a love for learning.

Tina embarked on her remarkable career in education with fervor and passion. She served as an elementary and middle school teacher at Gates Chili Community Design School, where she made a profound impact on countless students. In 2004, she took the bold step of joining SUNY Geneseo, where she taught and supervised future educators in the School of Education. Throughout her illustrious four-decade career, Tina was not only a dedicated teacher but also a valued member of various committees. Her roles as a consultant, trainer, and facilitator in multiple school districts underscored her commitment to advancing educational practices.

Beyond her professional accomplishments, Tina's radiant smile and compassionate heart captivated everyone who had the privilege of knowing her. Her brilliance shone through in every aspect of her life, whether it was through her artistry, her culinary skills as a baker, her love of singing, or her green thumb as a gardener, as well as her affection for the animals in her life. Known for her keen fashion sense, Tina's vibrant personality and diverse interests, enriched the lives of those around her.

She leaves behind her beloved family, including her sister, Heidi Sellers, her nephew, Joshua Sellers, and her niece, Johanna Sellers. Additionally, she cherished her grandnephews and grandniece, Jason, Jasmine, and Zayden, who will fondly remember their aunt's joyful spirit and the warmth she brought into their lives.

Tina was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Willma Sands, and her grandmother, Anne, whose love and guidance helped shape the extraordinary woman she became.

The family wishes to thank the staff of Edna Tina Wilson Living Center and the staff of Hospice for their exceptional care of Tina in these past few years.
