Claude Roy Snyder

Claude R. Snyder, 77, of Clay, passed away December 11, 2025. Claude was born in Fulton, New York on February 27, 1948. Claude retired from the U.S. Air Force as a Senior Master Sergeant after serving 20 years. He had served in the Vietnam War. He then worked for 20 years at Raymour and Flannigan Furniture as a sales associate. He then went on to work part time as a bus monitor for Jamesville Dewitt School District.

Claude attended the Living Word Church for 45 years during which he actively volunteered in many areas of church ministry.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Dorothy Coffee; Two grandchildren, Isabelle Snyder, Bradley Snyder.

He is survived by his Spouse of 53 years, Shelley Elizabeth Snyder, Daughter, Sarah (Jason) Lavaway; Son, Keith A. (Julia) Snyder; Four grandchildren, Emma Snyder, Elliot Snyder, Arianna Lavaway, Madalynn Lavaway. He is also survived by 6 sisters, Carolyn, Doris, Ruth, Rebecca, Dawn, Marcia and 2 brothers, Victor and Gilbert.

Family and friends may call on Saturday, December 27, 2025 from 10:00 am-11:00 am at Living Word Church, 6099 Court Street Rd, Syracuse, NY where funeral services will be follow at 11:00 am. A luncheon will immediately follow at the Church banquet hall.
