Constantine "Gus" Mavrides, 84, of E. Syracuse, passed away on Saturday at St. Joseph's Hospital with family by his side. He was born on August 29, 1929 in Syracuse, son of the late Lysandros and Dimitra Mavrides. He graduated from Syracuse University in 1952 and retired from Sears in 1992.
Surviving are his wife, of 62 years, Deen, 3 daughters: Michele (Chris) Lella, Terri (Joe) Servello and Connie Mavrides, 2 grandchildren: Richard & Anthony, his sister, Melpomene DeFotis, along with several nieces and nephews.
Services will be private. There are no calling hours.
