Craig S. Sullivan, Sr., a beloved figure in the Syracuse community and a devoted family man, passed away peacefully at home on February 1, 2026, after a long illness. Born on September 24, 1960, in Syracuse, Craig brought warmth and a personal touch to everyone he met.
Craig was not only the owner-operator of Charlie the Countertop Man, but he was also a cornerstone of his family and a proud member of the Italian American Athletic Club. His dedication and hard work earned him respect within the business community, but it was his honest and approachable personality that truly endeared him to countless friends and customers.
He enjoyed indulging in his hobbies, which included being a dedicated SU Fan, hunting, golfing, spending cherished moments with his grandson Lucas and spending time at the family camp at Sandy Pond. These interests brought him joy and allowed him to share unforgettable experiences with loved ones.
Craig is survived by his loving wife, Sandra A. Sullivan who stood by his side through every triumph and challenge. Craig is also survived by his parents James & Bernice Sullivan, he was the proud father of two sons, Craig Sullivan, Jr. and James Sullivan, and a devoted grandparent to his grandson, Lucas Sullivan. and his legacy will continue to live on through his family.
He was also blessed with three sisters, Marsha (Al) Weir, Shelly Smith, and Wendy (Tom) Christo, who cherished their time together and shared in each other's lives.
To his family and friends, Craig was a beacon of support and kindness. He was predeceased by his brother, Kenneth Sullivan, whose memory will be lovingly honored by those who remain.
As we gather to celebrate Craig’s life, we are reminded of his many contributions and the indelible mark he left on all of us. A visitation service will be held on February 11, 2026, from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, located at 705 N Main St, Syracuse, NY 13212. A celebration will be held at a later date.
Craig S. Sullivan, Sr. will be remembered for his unwavering spirit, his dedication to family, and the joy he spread to everyone around him. His memory will forever remain in the hearts of those who loved him.
