Cynthia Rizzo, 66, of Syracuse, passed away September 25, 2023.
Cynthia was born in Syracuse, New York on March 6, 1957 to the late Leon and Ann Grobsmith. She loved planting flowers and baking. She was famous for her sausage bread, potato salad and magic cookie bars. Most importantly she loved spending time with her family.
She was predeceased by two brothers, Jim and Jack Grobsmith; two sons, Joshua and Thomas Rizzo; and her husband, George Rizzo.
She is survived by two daughters, Jennifer Rizzo, Stephanie Rizzo; and a son, Christopher Rizzo; grandchildren, Breona, Joshua and Ava Abrams, Gino Mollo, Nathan and Maria Martins, and Chris and Joey Abrams; sister, Judy (Dick) Chengerian; sister-in-law, Sue Grobsmith; brother, Peter Grobsmith and several friends, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Calling hours are Tuesday from 3-4pm at New Comer, North Syracuse with a service to follow. Memorial contributions may be made to St Jude's Children's Hospital or American Cancer Society.
