David J. Keegan

David J. Keegan, a dedicated husband, devoted father, proud grandfather, and honorable veteran, passed away peacefully on June 13, 2025, at the age of 78.

Born and raised in Syracuse, NY, Dave remained a steadfast member of the community throughout his life.

He served his country with pride and courage as a member of the United States Army during the Vietnam War. A chapter of his life that shaped his enduring strength and quiet resilience.

Dave’s greatest pride was his family.

He is predeceased by his beloved wife, Krystine Keegan, and his brother, Ronald Keegan.

He is lovingly remembered by his sister, Kathy Coyle; his sons, Michael (Lexi) Keegan and Patrick (Brittany) Keegan; and his cherished granddaughters, Chelsea and Lucy Keegan, who brought him endless joy and pride.

Dave’s loyalty, friendliness, and gentle humor leave an indelible mark on all who knew him.

A celebration of life service is scheduled for July 12, 2025 at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 705 N. Main St, N. Syracuse, NY 13212, from 11am to 12pm.

A reception will follow at the Cicero American Legion Post 787, 5575 Legionnaire Drive, Cicero, NY 13039, for lunch and refreshments.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a veteran’s organization of your choice in Dave’s honor.

He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
