David Owen Kent

David O. Kent, of Brewerton NY, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, October 30, 2025 while on vacation with his wife in New Orleans, LA.

David was born on January 21, 1978 son of John & Peggy Kent.

He spent his childhood in Caledonia, NY where he was an active member of the Boy Scouts of America, earning the highest rank of Eagle Scout.

He graduated with a degree in Forest Technology from SUNY College of Environmental Science and Forestry. He was currently working for Ramboll in Syracuse, NY.

Dave was a loving husband and father. He was a kind man who would help anyone who needed it. He had a love for the outdoors. Along with the activities enjoyed by him and his wife while living on Oneida Lake. He loved camping, hiking, hunting and fishing. Dave also enjoyed running, he was a member of SOH4, and participated in the Syrathon Race Series every year.

He is survived by his wife, Pamela; son, Ryan; stepchildren, Danielle and Joshua; his father, John; brother, Jeff and many other family members.

He was predeceased by his mother, Peggy Kent.

Calling hours will be held at New Comer Cremations & Funerals on Thursday, November 20, 2025 from 4pm-7pm. Funeral Service will follow at 7pm. Burial will take place at Mumford Cemetery, Mumford, NY on Friday, November 21, 2025 at 11am.
