David McCarthy Sr., 66, of Syracuse, passed away Friday surrounded by his family.
David served in the Syracuse Air National Guard.
He worked as a mechanic at Crest Cadillac for 16 years.
David loved NASCAR, and was an avid sports-watcher.
He is predeceased by his parents, Donald and Katherine and brother, Richard.
Survivors include his loving wife of 30 years, Ann; his daughter, Amy; four sons, Brian, David Jr. (Lori), Bruce (Paula) and Peter; nine grandchildren; his brother, Robert (Bernice); one aunt, Ann (Dick) Ostrander and four nephews.
Calling hours will be held on Wednesday from 4-7pm at New Comer Funeral Home, 705 N. Main St., North Syracuse. A funeral mass will be held on Thursday 9am at St. John the Baptist Church.
