Dawn M. Sugrue

Dawn M. Sugrue, 68, of Bridgeport, passed away January 24, 2026. Dawn was born in Syracuse, New York on November 29, 1957 to Charles and Thelma Matson. Dawn retired from BCBS where she had been employed as a medical biller. In her free time, Dawn had enjoyed horseback riding, animals, crafting, flower arranging, drawing, music, spending time at camp and spending time with friends and family. She loved all her dogs she had over the years.

She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters, Connie Thompson, Sharon Ahern.

She is survived by her Husband of 26 years, John Sugrue; Four Step-Sons, Nick Sugrue, John Sugrue, III, Terry Sugrue, Christopher Sugrue; Daughter, Stephanie Pietrocola; Two Sons, Matthew Sugrue, Marc Sugrue; Sister, Diana Murphy, 12 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Family and friends may call on Friday, January 30, 2026 from 3:00 pm-6:00 pm at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 705 N. Main St., North Syracuse.
