Deborah P. Saur

Deborah P. Saur, passed away at home on September 27, 2026, at the age of 75. Born on July 27, 1951, in Syracuse, New York, Deborah will be remembered as a loving, caring, and generous mother whose life was marked by selflessness and deep devotion to those around her. 

Deborah’s warmth touched her family in lasting ways. She was known for her caring nature and for the steady love she gave so freely. Her family’s remembrance of her speaks especially to her generous spirit and to a loving heart that carried them through the years. With affection and humor, she will also be remembered for the grace and patience she showed throughout 55 years of marriage to Ed. 

She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Edward J. Saur; her son, Christopher Saur; and her grandsons, Christopher Saur and Evan Saur; niece, Heather O’Brien and her two daughters, Brianna Fay and Rebecca Fay; sister, Cheryl Tymofy. She is also lovingly remembered by many other great-nieces and nephews, whose lives were part of the wider circle of family she held dear.

Deborah was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Betty Hollister and her sister, Yolanda O’Brien.Family and friends are invited to pay their respects during visitation on Tuesday, October 6, 2026, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 705 N Main St, Syracuse, New York 13212. A chapel service will be held on Wednesday, October 7, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Onondaga County Veterans Cemetery, 4064 Howlett Hill Road, Syracuse, New York 13215.

Deborah P. Saur will be remembered with love, gratitude, and admiration by all who knew her. Her kindness, generosity, and steadfast heart leave a lasting memory that will continue to live on in her family.
