Debra Chauvaux, Born 6/5/62 lost her battle with cancer and passed away on Sunday. Debra worked for several employers. She recently earned her CNA degree and took pride in caring for the elderly. Her proudest accomplishments are her three sons. Her granddaughter is the sunshine of her life. She enjoyed gardening and spending time with her family and friends.
She is predeceased by a nephew, Patrick Hays and a cousin, Frank Torsleff.
She is survived by her Husband,Robert Chauvaux; three sons, Greg ,Kyle, and Brian Lapoint; granddaughter, Louisa Lapoint; Stepsons, Shawn (Jamie) Chauvaux and Shane Chauvaux; her parents, Earl and Dolores Torsleff; a sister, Linda (Joseph) Monteforte; a Brother, David (Cindy) Torsleff; nephews, Scott (Amy) Hays, Jason (Jessica) Hays, David (Naomi) Torsleff, Joseph Hays; a niece, Heather (Jamie) Casullo; three great nephews and two cousins.
Calling hours will be held on Friday from 4-7pm at New Comer Funeral Home, 705 N. Main St., North Syracuse. Services will be held on Saturday 10am at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, donations made be made to Hospice of CNY.
