Dennis P. Costanzo

Dennis P. Costanzo of Liverpool, passed away on August 12, 2026 at Crouse Hospital after an illness. Dennis was born in Canastota on February 26, 1943, to Sam and Vera (Weeks) Costanzo. He spent most of his life living in Chittenango only moving to Liverpool a few years ago to be near his children. He graduated from Chittenango Central School District, and then earned his associate’s degree from Morrisville State College. He worked his whole adult life (over 50 years) at Diemolding Corporation as their Comptroller.

He leaves behind his Beloved Wife Gerry, two children and five grandchildren.

On April 9, 1964 he married the love of his life Geraldine (Gerry Pankhurst). Together they have two children; Deanna Jones (Robert Jones) and Craig Costanzo (Sandra Waskiewicz). His grandchildren are Hannah Jones, Noah Jones (Noelle Hensler), Nicholas Costanzo (Devan Dachisen), Elizabeth Costanzo, Evan Costanzo.

When his kids were young, he coached his son’s baseball team and helped with intramural basketball. Dennis was a lifelong fan of the SU sports teams and held season tickets for many years to watch football and basketball.

Later in life he adopted his pal, Yukon. He loved that dog. Yukon was his best companion for many years until his death. He even took him to work with him.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 19, 2026, 10am-12pm at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 705 N Main St, Syracuse, NY 13212. A funeral service will follow at 12pm. Following that, there will be a private graveside service.

 In lieu of flowers, people my make donations in his name to Disabled American Veterans, St. Jude, or Boys Town.
