Donald Robert Hill, of 103 Wells Ave. East, North Syracuse passed away on September 11, 2026 after a battle with cancer. He and his partner Vincent Whorrall shared an amazing 37 years of good memories. They renovated their home they bought in the early 1990's and made it their's. Don was a hairdresser since he was 18 and established his first salon in Cicero, then moved to a new location and called it Changing Times. With his sister Charolette Ashe and Peggy & Barbara. He also loved teaching cosmotology at Phillips Hair Styling Institute. Vince and Don shared a bond which was full of love, strength and indurance. He touched many lives and was a pillar to all that knew him.
He is survived by his partner Vincent Whorrall, sister Charlotte (Wayne) Ashe, brother Robert, Jr. (Melissa) Hill and his son Tim. He was predeceased by his parents Robert and Lillian, his sister Roberta Packard, Barbara Purtell and brother Gerald Hill and his wife Dorothy.
He loved all his siblings and came from a big family, full of nieces and nephews. He also loved his many clients. Don had an extended family, Patricia Simpson friend of 35 years, whom he helped raise her children; Kristine Fay, Jason & Latoya Savage. They all lived together for many years. If you knew Don, you loved him.
Per Don's request there will be no services at this time.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the funeral home to help the family cover expenses.
