Donald Lee Jacobson, 74, of Clay, passed away on April 10th, 2026, with his wife by his side. Donald was born in Syracuse, NY, on May 28, 1951, to Robert and Lula Jacobson.
Donald was a 1969 graduate of North Syracuse High School. He served in the U.S. Army and is a Vietnam Veteran. Donald retired from J.S. Woodhouse after 49 years. He was the head usher and a member of the Cicero UMC and a past member of the Cicero Fire Department.
He found his greatest joys in golfing, bowling, camping, hiking, and following SU basketball and football. He took great pride in supporting his daughters, faithfully attending their color guard performances and lending a helping hand as part of the floor crew. Nothing meant more to him than watching his grandsons play sports and proudly cheer them on. In recent years, he cherished his time traveling, spending winters in Florida and making unforgettable memories on a special cross-country trip out west with his wife and dearest friends, Cindy and Dusty.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 49 years, Shirley Jacobson; his father, Robert Jacobson; his brother, David Jacobson; his daughters, Kristi Jacobson and Kelley (David) Russo; his four grandsons, Landon, Kaden, Garrett, and Owen; his sisters-in-law, Linda Sacco and Karen (Daniel) Jacobson; as well as many cherished nieces and nephews.
