Eileen J. Lefever

Eileen J. Lefever passed peacefully on September 7, 2026, at the age of 75.

Born on May 17, 1951, Eileen built a life marked by wit, love, and a lively spirit. She was a graduate of SUNY Oswego, where she earned a degree in math. She went on to work as an accounts payable manager for multiple companies, including Cardinal Health, bringing dedication and skill to her profession over the years.

Eileen found joy in the things she loved most. She loved dogs, especially her beagle, Scooter. She enjoyed the outdoors and delighted in taking pictures of New York’s fall foliage. Much of her time was spent at her beloved camp in Redfield, New York, a place that held special meaning for her. She was also known for her sharp sense of humor and for being an avid fan of Syracuse University sports, especially basketball.

She is survived by her son, Shawn Lefever, and his partner, Jenn. She is also survived by her niece and nephew, Kimberly Diedrich and her husband, Carl, and Kenneth Hubbard, as well as her friend Michael Taskey. May their memories of Eileen bring comfort and peace in the days ahead.

Eileen was preceded in death by her father, Robert Hubbard; her mother, Lona Hubbard; her brother, Bob Hubbard; and her nephew, Jeffrey Hubbard.

Family and friends are invited to gather for visitation on September 15, 2026, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 705 N Main St, Syracuse, NY 13212.

Eileen will be remembered for her love of family and friends, her quick wit, and the happiness she found in nature, companionship, and the friendships she cherished.
