Erin E. Rawlins, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away on October 31, 2026, leaving behind a lifetime of love, laughter, and memories that will forever live in the hearts of those who knew her.
Erin was an extraordinary woman whose love, kindness, and selflessness touched the lives of everyone fortunate enough to know her. She was the kind of person who showed up for others without hesitation, who offered support without needing to be asked, and who loved with her whole heart.
Erin graduated from East Syracuse-Minoa High School and continued her education at Columbia University, where she earned her bachelor's degree while proudly making the Dean's List. She ran a home daycare while raising her two children and later spent many years working at Syracuse University's Early Education Center. Caring for others came naturally to Erin, and she spent much of her life doing exactly that.
Much of Erin's childhood was spent on the farm with her cherished "second mom," Jan, where we think her love for horses and large dogs first began.
Erin loved the little things that made life special. She could often be found soaking up the sunshine at the beach with a good book or relaxing beside a fire with a glass of wine. You could often find her playing music and singing off key any chance she got. Something we will miss deeply. She had a special love for butterflies and bird watching, a beautiful symbol of the love and memories she leaves behind.
Above all else, Erin loved her family. Her husband, children, and especially her grandsons, Carson and Cayde, were the center of her world. She poured her heart and soul into the people she loved.
Erin was preceded in death by her parents Donna and Dominic Quattrone. She leaves behind her loving husband, Scott Rawlins; her daughter, Halie (Jesse) Rawlins; her son, Jayden Rawlins; her cherished grandsons, Carson Miles and Cayde Miles; her sister, Angeline (Brian) Schaefer; her brother, Phillip Quattrone; and many other beloved family members and friends who will miss her beyond words.
Calling hours will be held on Friday, November 13, 2026, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 705 N Main St, Syracuse, NY 13212.
Though her passing leaves an unimaginable emptiness in the lives of those who loved her, she will live on in the memories shared, the laughter remembered, the music played a little louder, the butterflies that cross their paths, and the countless ways she made life better for everyone around her.
Erin will forever be loved, endlessly missed, and never forgotten. Her legacy is one of kindness, compassion, unconditional love, and a heart that gave so much to so many.
