Faye A. Sherman, born on June 22, 1941, in Newfane, NY, peacefully left this world on February 20, 2026, in Syracuse, NY. She touched many lives with her warm heart and infectious spirit, leaving behind a legacy of love and cherished memories.
Faye dedicated many years of her life to St. Joseph's Hospital, where her work in housekeeping for labor & delivery brought comfort and care to countless patients and families. Her profound commitment to service was evident in everything she did; each task was approached with an unyielding sense of pride and a gentle touch.
In addition to her career, Faye found joy in crafting, often seen enthusiastically exploring craft shows to gather new ideas that would inspire her creativity. Camping emerged as one of her greatest passions, providing her with moments of serenity and the opportunity to create lasting memories with family and friends under the vastness of the starlit sky.
Her greatest treasure, however, lay in her family. She adored spending time with her daughter, Gail Hallifax, who held a special place in her heart. The laughter of her grandchildren, John and Ryan (Wendy), brought her immense joy, and she cherished every moment spent with them. As a loving great-grandmother, she embraced her roles in the lives of Za'Kyla, Ryan Jr., and Elijah, always ready with a warm hug and stories that would make them giggle.
Faye's love for life was encapsulated in the simple pleasures, including her profound affection for hot fudge sundaes. This little delight was not just a treat but a symbol of her ability to find happiness in everyday moments, teaching those around her to savor life’s sweetness.
She is predeceased by her husband, John Sherman, whose memory remains etched in the hearts of those who knew their boundless love.
As we remember Faye A. Sherman, we honor a vibrant woman whose life was a tapestry of love, creativity, and unwavering dedication to her family and community. She leaves behind a legacy that will continue to inspire and warm the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know her.
