Francis C. Houk Jr., 97 of North Syracuse, NY, passed away peacefully.
He proudly served in the U.S. Army in the 291st Infantry during WWII, and was awarded the Bronze Star.
He graduated from Michigan State in 1948, receiving a Bachelor Degree.
He loved golfing and the New York Yankees.
Francis is survived by his loving wife of 71 years, Ivy; sons, Chuck Houk and Steve Houk; sisters-in-law, Jean Hancock and Edna Taylor; brother-in-law, Tom Cocklin, and many nieces and nephews.
He is predeceased by his parents and his daughter, Kerrie.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Francis House, Syracuse, NY.
Services will be private.
