Gary Robert Hartwell Sr.

Gary Robert Hartwell Sr., 80, of Canastota, passed away January 11, 2026. Gary was born in Oneida, New York on January 6, 1946 to Robert and Helen Hartwell. Gary was the owner of Aerie Security Service in Volushia County, Florida. In his free time, Gary was an avid hunter, enjoyed spending time with family and friends, loved his animals, especially "TJ Hooker" his Jack Russell and "Black Bob", his cat. 

Gary was a U.S. Navy Veteran and a member of the National Rifle Association.

Gary was preceded in death by his parents, Helen and Robert Hartwell.  He is survived by his two Sons, Gary R. Hartwell Jr., Sean W. Hartwell and daughter, Lisa M Hartwell, all of Daytona, Florida; two brothers, Gene Hartwell, David Hartwell and sister, Renee Doyle, all of Florida; 6 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will held in Florida at a time to be announced.
