George J. Abel, 91, of Rochester, passed away Thursday at the Syracuse VA Medical Center. He was a WWII veteran serving in the Navy.
He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Esther; five sons, Thomas (Cheryl) of Manhattan Beach CA, John of Los Angeles, CA, Lawrence (Rachel) of San Diego, CA, Michael (Gina) of Liverpool, NY and Andrew of Santa Monica, CA; eight grandchildren, Colleen and Timothy, Joseph and Patrick, Mallory, Kevin, Kati and Emma Rose; two brothers, John and Edward.
A Celebration of Life will be at a later date.
