George L. Benedict, 79, of Mattydale passed away on Tuesday after a long illness.
He was predeceased by his wife Carol E. Benedict.
He is survived by his sisters, Carol "Midge" Mills and Roberta Peters; step son, Scott (Denise) Cooper; step daughter Sandra Fadian.
Calling hours will be Monday from 4-7PM at New Comer Funeral Home, 705 N. Main St., N. Syracuse.
A memorial service will follow at 7PM.
Contributions may be made in George's name to the Humane Association.
