In Loving Memory of George Vincent McDonald
George Vincent McDonald, born January 17, 1935, passed away on October 5, 2026.
Born and raised in Brooklyn, New York. George spent the second half of his life in Upstate New York; where he devoted himself to being a family man through n through.
George was a veteran of the United States Army where he served in the Korean War. He worked for 40 years as a laborer with Pfizer Pharmaceutical. After retirement, he embraced a new chapter of life, spending more time with his family while continuing to enjoy the things he had always loved. A lifelong horse-racing enthusiast, George bet on the ponies throughout his life, as well as enjoying the casino and his scratch-offs. He was also a devoted New York Jets fan until the very end, remaining loyal to his team through every season!
George will be remembered for his lighthearted personality; a jokester, known for his goofy quirks, memorable sayings, and little jingles that brought laughter to everyday moments. Those familiar expressions, jokes, and unmistakably George moments will live on in the stories his family shares and the memories they hold close.
George was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Kathleen, who passed away in 2004, and two of his children; Patricia and Joseph.
He leaves behind his sister, Patricia McDonald; his son, George McDonald; his grandchildren, Brittney, George, Shawn, Dina, and Paulie; and his great-grandchildren, Olivia, Eveanii, Gemma, and Paul. Along with many cousins, nieces, nephews and greats. His family represents his legacy, that will continue through generations; carrying forward the memories, laughter, and stories that made him who he was.
