Gloria A. Sciortino, a beloved wife, mother and sister, passed away on December 1, 2025, in Syracuse, NY, where she was born on March 28, 1953.

Throughout her life, Gloria was remarkably involved in her children's activities. She took on the role of coach for Sheri's softball team and actively participated in the Parent Teacher Association (PTA). Her ability to engage and connect with others left a lasting impact on those around her.

In addition to her dedication to family, Gloria had a variety of hobbies that enriched her life. She loved baking and cooking, creating her famous Italian cookie trays during the Christmas season. She also enjoyed visiting the casino and was known for her creativity and craftiness. Notably, Gloria and her late husband, Peter N. Sciortino, shared many joyous moments traveling together during his military service, with cherished memories of their time in Germany during the Vietnam War.

Gloria took great pride in her family, which included her children, Patrick Sciortino and Sheri (Mark) Ruffo, along with several cousins, nieces, and nephews. She will be remembered not only for her love of family but also for her beloved dog, Leo, who was an integral part of her life.

Gloria is preceded in death by her loving husband, Peter N. Sciortino; her son, Peter D. Sciortino; and her parents, Frank and Mary P. Titone.

In keeping with Gloria's wishes, there will be no services. A private burial will be held at the Onondaga County Veterans Memorial Cemetery, where Gloria will be laid to rest alongside her late husband, Peter.
