Grant S. Rosekrans , 86, of Syracuse passed away on Monday at Crouse Hospital.
Grant was born on December 15, 1926, Syracuse, New York to the late Charles and Lucy (Leinbaugh) Rosekrans.
He was a US Navy Veteran during World War II and the Korean War.
Following his honorable discharge, Grant went to school to be a Technical Engineer, his occupation for many years until his retirement.
He loved bowling, reading, jigsaw puzzles, and building many model ships and airplanes.
He was predeceased by his wife, Louise Rosekrans; daughter, Donna Smith, and one great-grandchild.
Grant is survived by his children, Adora L. Lester and Karyn Lamson, 11 grandchildren, many great-grandchildren and sister, Frances Wilcox.
No prior visitation. Services will be private. Burial at Onondaga Veterans Cemetery at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Disabled American Veterans, 44 W Genesee St Syracuse, NY 13202.
