Henry J. "Hank" Burkhart, 72 of Syracuse, passed away on Thursday after a long illness. He was born in Syracuse, son of the late Howie and Evelyn Berrells. He retired from Syracuse DPW after 30 years of service. Hank was a member of the Knights of the Cross.
Surviving are his beloved wife Deborah of 30 years, son John (Stacey) Burkhart, Canton, GA, brother Sidney (Sandy) Burkhart, Baldwinsville, 2 nephews, Todd & Christopher, 3 grandchildren, Danielle, Sean & Alica, along with his 2 Lhasa Apso's: Chloe & Meadow.
Calling hours will be held on Monday from 4-7pm at New Comer Funeral Home, 705 N. Main St., N. Syracuse.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Wanderers Rest Humane Society.
