Herbert H. Werner, 76, of Liverpool, passed away on Thursday after a long battle with cancer, at home with his wife by his side. He was born on February 7, 1939 in Jamestown, NY son of the late Henry & Helen Werner. He retired from Young & Franklin in 2003. Herbert was the president and member of St. Joseph's Senior Club. He was an avid bowler and was a member of the Salina Town Hall Seniors.
Surviving are his beloved wife Sally of 55 years, daughter Karen (Kris) Hackenfort, son Ronald (Michele) Werner, 2 grandchildren; Nicholas Hackenfort, Amber Werner, his brother Roy (Lynn) Werner, nephew Keith Werner, along with many cousins.
Calling hours will be held on Monday from 4-7pm at New Comer Funeral Home, N. Syracuse. Burial will be private at Greenlawn Cemetery, Warners.
Donations may be made to Hospice of CNY.
