Our beloved grandmother Ivanka Boskovska (Doncevska) passed away on October 9, 2026, at Loretto Nursing Home in Syracuse. She was 89.
Born on April 23, 1937, in Veles, Macedonia, Ivanka will be remembered as a generous, hardworking woman who devoted herself to both her family and her work. She was a seamstress, a dressmaker and a proud owner of a boutique garment shop in Macedonia. Ivanka was gifted at knitting and needlework, a skill that reflected her care, patience, and dedication. In 1987 she immigrated to Syracuse, NY where she was for many years employed at the JOS. J. Pietrafesa Company in Liverpool. Her steady work ethic continued to define her. Through hard work and determination she was also able to bring her daughters and grandchildren to the United States as well.
Above all, Ivanka loved being a grandma and great grandma and was lovingly called Baba Iva. Her family was a deep source of joy in her life, and she will be remembered for the warmth and love she shared with those closest to her. Ivanka will be dearly missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew her.
