Jacqueline Conrad, a cherished wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on April 12, 2026. Born on June 6, 1952, in Syracuse, New York, Jackie’s life was marked by a deep commitment to family, a passion for hospitality, and a warm spirit that touched everyone she met.

A 1970 graduate of West Genesee High School, Jackie embarked on a meaningful career that included ten years at Hershey Foods, from which she retired in 2012. After her retirement from Hershey’s, she continued to share her talents and dedication for twelve more years working at Vince’s Gourmet Foods. Throughout her working years, she was known for her professionalism and kindness, traits that defined her both personally and professionally.

Jackie’s personality shone brightest in her role as a loving hostess. She delighted in spending time with family and friends, often hosting memorable Thanksgiving dinners filled with warmth and good cheer. Her love of cooking and baking was particularly evident during the holiday season when she would prepare Christmas cookies with her grandchildren. Gardening was another passion she nurtured, alongside her enjoyment of boating on Oneida Lake. Jackie’s affection extended to her beloved Beagles, who were a constant source of joy.

Family vacations were treasured occasions for Jackie, creating lasting memories, especially during the month of March when she and Larry would retreat to Anna Maria Island in Florida. These moments reflected her spirit of togetherness and her joy in sharing life’s simple pleasures with those she loved.

Jacqueline’s surviving family proudly remembers and honors her memory. She is lovingly survived by her devoted husband of 53 years, Larry Conrad; her son, Eric Conrad, and his wife, Tanya; her daughter, Christy Porter, and her husband, Keith. She was a proud grandmother to Leah (Jacob) Lamos, Paige (Christian) Goulet, and Emily and Caroline Porter. Jackie also leaves behind her sisters, Darlene Welles and Brenda Spaulding, and her sister-in-law Cheryl (Vince) Taylor.

She was predeceased by her parents, James and Norma Mahar, and her siblings James Mahar Jr. and Kathleen Hughes, whose memories she cherished deeply.

Jackie’s life was a testament to love, dedication, and hospitality. Her kind heart, generous spirit, and unwavering devotion to family remain an enduring inspiration to all who knew her. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered with respect and affection.
