James J. Losey

James J. Losey, 79, of North Syracuse, passed away June 16, 2026. James was born in Syracuse, New York on February 22, 1947.

James retired from Drivers Village where he had been employed as a driver. In his free time, James enjoyed taking his dogs for a walk everyday, especially on Onondaga Lake Parkway. He also enjoyed target shooting, driving, animals, remote control cars and was an avid fan of the Buffalo Bills and Canadian hockey.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Leda and August Schmidt.

He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Virginia L. Losey.

Family and friends may call on Wednesday, June 24, 2026 from 10-11 AM at St. Margaret's Church, 200 Roxboro Road, Mattydale.  A funeral mass will follow at 11AM.
