James L. Snook

James Snook, 73, passed away at SUNY Upstate Hospital in Syracuse, NY on Thursday, July 24, 2025 after a long illness.

 Jim was predeceased by his parents, Leo and Jeanne (Fay) Snook.

 Jim is survived by his wife; Deb Snook and their children; Eric, Cory and Ryan Snook. His is also survived by his first wife; Renee St. Denis and their daughter; Heather Locke of Florida. Jim is also survived by his sister; Lynn (Frank) Kohut of E. Syracuse and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Jim’s grandchildren; Brianna Locke of Florida and Colin, Jadon, Dylan and Emma Snook, all of E. Syracuse will miss him dearly.

 Jim worked for General Super Plating Co. Inc. in Syracuse and Charlotte, NC. Then he worked as a mailman for USPS, mostly in Liverpool, NY for many years. He was very athletic in his younger years. He enjoyed hiking mountains and bike riding, especially in the Adirondacks. He also had a great love of music.

 Calling hours will be held at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 705 N. Main St., North Syracuse, NY 13212 on Thursday, August 7, 2025 from 4-7pm. There will be no services.
