Jane E. Higgins

Jane E. Higgins, born on July 30, 1953, passed away peacefully on June 28, 2025. 

Jane was a vibrant and devoted individual who touched the lives of many with her generous spirit and unwavering love for her family and friends. She had a remarkable career in the field of Credit and Collection, making significant contributions during her time at Empower FCU and previously at Sperry New Holland. Her strong work ethic was evident in all that she accomplished.

Known for her contagious laugh and joyful nature, Jane embraced life with an enthusiasm that was truly infectious. She had a passion for dancing and singing, often spreading happiness wherever she went. Her fun-loving personality and big heart endeared her to all who knew her.

Jane is survived by her mother, Beverly A. (Besio) Navoian; her brother, Bradford D. (Bonnie) Applin; her sisters, Fawn E. (Greg) Sunderland, Lori A. (John) Prunner, Kimberly A. (Mark) Gilman, and Mary A. Howard; as well as many cherished nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews. She also leaves behind her dear friends, Jackie and Guy Haskins, who were an integral part of her life.

Jane was preceded in death by her beloved daughter, Jennifer, whose memory will forever remain in the hearts of those who loved her.

The celebration of Jane's life will culminate in a private burial on July 11, 2025, at Woodlawn Cemetery, located at 800 Grant Boulevard, Syracuse, NY 13203. 

Jane E. Higgins will be remembered not only for her professional achievements but also for the laughter and joy she brought into the lives of her loved ones. Her legacy of love and generosity will continue to inspire all who had the privilege of knowing her.
