Jeanette M. (Perrier) Missigman, born on June 19, 1943, in Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan, passed away on September 13, 2025.
She lived a life filled with purpose and dedication, notably spending 26 years working for the New York State Health Department, where she ultimately retired in 2004.
A graduate of St. Lawrence Central School in 1961.
Throughout her life, she cherished her family and friends, finding joy in spending time with them, whether through playing cards and games or enjoying moments in front of the television as she supported her favorite teams, the Syracuse Orange basketball team and the New York Yankees. Jeanette’s commitment to her community was evident in her volunteer work, particularly in running the concession stand for the Cicero Little League for ten years.
Her generous spirit and warm personality left a lasting impact on those she encountered.
She is survived by her loving family: her daughter, Barbara (DeWayne) Richards of Apopka, FL; her sons, Paul (Layne) Missigman of Winter Park, FL, and Mark Missigman of Columbia, MD; and her cherished grandchildren, Anthony and Corey Richards of Apopka, FL, Mason and Ryan Missigman of Winter Park, FL, Jenna Missigman of Ft. Myers, FL, and Zach Missigman of Columbia, MD. Jeanette's legacy also continues with many nieces and nephews who held her close to their hearts.
Jeanette was preceded in death by her husband, Paul J. Missigman; her parents, Anthony and Jessie (Milligan) Perrier; and her brother, Brian A. Perrier.
A burial service will be held on October 4, 2025, at Assumption Cemetery in Syracuse, NY, beginning at 11:00 AM. Family and friends are invited to gather and celebrate her life and the cherished memories they shared. Jeanette will be dearly missed but remembered fondly by all who knew and loved her.
