Jeanne Coombs

Jeanne Coombs passed away on October 8, 2026, at the age of 88.

Jeanne will be remembered as a devoted wife, mother, sister, and grandmother whose life was centered on family, service, and lasting commitment. One of her proudest accomplishments was the marriage she shared with her husband for more than 60 years, a bond that stood as a testament to love, partnership, and devotion.

For many years, Jeanne served as a Medical Administrator for Dr. Arthur Dube & Dr. David Dube, where she dedicated herself to her work with care and professionalism. She also gave generously of her time as a volunteer at WAVES, reflecting her steady commitment to helping others. Beyond her work and volunteer service, Jeanne found her greatest joy in being with her family, especially her grandchildren, whose presence brought her deep happiness.

She is survived by her beloved husband, Robert Coombs. She also leaves behind her daughter, Katharine Wright; her son, William Coombs, and his wife, Elizabeth Gaza; and her daughter, Melissa Korzeniewski, and her husband, Matthew Korzeniewski. Jeanne is also survived by her sister, Nancy Yenawine, and her brother-in-law, Peter Yenawine. She will be deeply missed by her family and by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

A funeral service will be held on Friday October 16, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 705 N Main St, Syracuse, NY 13212.

Jeanne’s life was marked by dedication to those she loved, meaningful service to others, and a quiet strength that will be remembered with gratitude and affection.
