Joan M. Kolodziejczyk

Joan M. Kolodziejczyk, affectionately known as "Joni", was born on August 7, 1937, in Syracuse, NY. She passed away peacefully on May 14, 2025, surrounded by family, leaving behind a legacy of love, strength, and resilience that will be remembered by all whose lives she touched.

Joni worked for many years at Magnavox in Manlius, NY, where she made her mark as a Production Control Manager, demonstrating work ethic and dedication throughout her career.

Beyond her professional life, Joni was a vibrant soul, known for her passion for life. She found joy in all kinds of crafting, using her artistic flair, golfing and bowling, participating in multiple leagues. She made yearly trips to sunny Florida, where she cherished time spent on golf courses and the beach, soaking up the sun and creating lasting memories.

Joni’s proudest accomplishment was her large family. She was surrounded by love, being cherished by over 100 nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. She deeply valued family and friends and always made those around her feel special and appreciated.

She is preceded in death by her beloved parents, Walter and Mary Ann (Ptak) Kolodziejczyk; siblings, Joseph Kolodziejczyk, Sylvia (Russo) Kolodziejczyk, Cecilia (Fiore) Kolodziejczyk, Anthony Kolod, Edmund Kolod, Loretta (Allers) Kolodziejczyk,Thaddeus Kolodziejczyk, Theresa (Fish) Kolodziejczyk, Dorothy Kolodziejczyk, Helen Kolodziejczyk and Francis Kolodziejczyk.

Calling hours will be held on May 31, 2025, from 11:00-1:00PM, followed by a memorial service at 1:00PM, both taking place at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 705 N Main St, Syracuse, NY 13212.

The family extends their sincerest gratitude to the wonderful team at Francis House for the exceptional care provided to Joni during her final days.
