Joann Jarmon

Joann Jarmon, born on October 28, 1948, passed away peacefully on May 27, 2025. She was a cherished individual whose warmth and kindness touched the lives of many. Joann was known for her quiet demeanor, but those who had the privilege of knowing her could attest to the radiant smile and infectious laughter that could light up any room.

A fervent lover of books and movies, Joann had a special affinity for science fiction, often immersing herself in fantastical worlds that sparked her imagination. Endlessly curious and appreciative of stories, she found joy in the pages of a good book and the frames of a captivating film, sharing her favorites with those around her.

Joann's greatest joy came from spending time with her grandsons, Marques, Elijah, and Michael Jarmon. Her dedication to her family was evident in every moment spent with them, often filled with laughter, learning, and love. She leaves behind her beloved children, Bennette Jarmon and Andrea Jarmon, who carry her spirit and values forward.

She is survived by her brother Aaron Roberts, her sister Penni Roberts, and her brother Logan Roberts, who will remember her strength and gentle spirit. Joann was preceded in death by her father, James L. Upshur; her mother, Leatrice Roberts; and her siblings Elaine Upshur, Annita Upshur, James Upshur, Richard Upshur, and David Upshur.

As we remember Joann, we celebrate her life, marked by love, joy, and an unyielding commitment to her family. She will be dearly missed but forever remembered in the hearts of all who knew her.
