Joel Lovette

Joel Lovette, 58, of Phoenix, NY, passed away peacefully at home on July 3, 2025 after a long, courageous battle with cancer and long term illnesses.

 Joel grew up in North Syracuse and was a 1985 graduate of Cicero-North Syracuse High School. Joel spent his career managing several restaurants and ended in the industry as a food broker.

 Joel was an avid NY Giants fan, he loved attending live music, going to Southwick Beach, cooking, camping, and spending time with his family.

 Joel is survived by his daughter; Jessica Lovette; his mother, Elaine Lovette; his sister, Lisa Lovette; his niece, Lauren Lovette and Karen Allen, with whom he shared a loving relationship with. Joel is also survived by an aunt and several cousins.

 He was predeceased by his father; Joseph Lovette, on August 4, 1994 and his best friend, Michael Schroeder, on November 9, 2020.

 We would like to give a special thanks to Dr. Fontanarosa and the staff at Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester, NY.

 In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to The Wilmot Cancer Center located in Strong Memorial Hospital.

 Family and friends may call on Thursday, July 10, 2025 from 4:30-6:30pm at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 705 N. Main St., N. Syracuse, NY 13212. Funeral Services will follow at 6:30pm.
