John M. Aragona

John M. Aragona, 65, of West Monroe, passed away July 13, 2025. John was born in Syracuse, New York on September 30, 1959 to John and Helen (Close) Aragona. John retired from Central Square School District where he had been employed as a bus driver. In his free time, he enjoyed casino gambling, liked to draw and spending time with his family especially his grandson. He also enjoyed spending time with his dogs Ace and Buster. He was preceded in death by his parents and Brother, Lewis Aragona.

He is survived by his spouse of 37 years, Tammy (Backus) Aragona, two daughters, Kristen (Josh) Barkley of Hastings, Jenna (Tim) Aragona of West Monroe;  son, Joshua Aragona of West Monroe; sister, Tina Turtura of Fulton; two brothers, Rick (Melanie) Aragona of Beverly Hills, FL;  Michael (Kelly) Aragona of Clay; grandchild, Jace Aragona and many aunts, uncles,cousins,nieces and nephews.

Family and friends may call on Thursday, July 17, 2025 from 3:00 pm-6:00 pm at Life Church, 2363 St. Rte. 49, West Monroe with a service to follow at 6 pm. .

A graveside service will be held Friday, July 18, 2025 at 9:00 am at Hillside Cemetery, Central Square.
