John Crump

John Francis Crump of North Syracuse & Adams-Center, NY, passed away on 9/24/26 after a 2-year-long battle with heart failure and kidney disease. He was 53.

He was born in Watertown on September 12, 1973, and lived in Adams Center most of his childhood. He attended South Jefferson School. When he was 18, he got his first full-time job in Syracuse and purchased his house in North Syracuse and lived there with his son ever since.

No matter what job he held, he gave it his all. He always took pride in his work and gave it 100%, whether it was working at Burger King or his last employment at One Source Mill Work, where he drove a delivery truck all over NY and a few other states.

John is survived by his son, Nathen Crump, N. Syracuse. His father and stepmom, John E. and Terry Crump, of Brownville. His mom and stepdad, Bernard & Christine Ryan, of Adams Center. His sisters JoAnna Strejlau, of Chaumont, and Michelle (Brad) Sanford, of Sackets Harbor. His brother Michael (Audrey) Crump of Arizona. His aunts and uncles: Gene (Loraine) and Rod (Cathy) Brimmer, both of Lorraine, Joe, and Pat Crump of MA, and his aunt Brenda Ramus of Watertown. Also his true best friend, Shawn Reilley, of Syracuse.

He is predeceased by Francis and Nancy Brimmer and Joseph and Ruth Crump. His brother-in-law, Tom Strejlau.

Per John’s wishes, there will be no calling hours or funeral services.

In lieu of flowers, donations could be made to Nathen Crump, 101 Mary Street, N. Syracuse, NY 13212, to help with final expenses. John didn’t have any life insurance.
