John D. Giamartino

John D. Giamartino, 55, of LaFayette, passed away November 9, 2025. John was born in Syracuse, New York on January 3, 1970 to Albert and Diane Giamartino.

John was a Jack-of-All-Trades and had worked as a supervisor and Union President at Southern Container. He was passionate about his logging business, and pile driving to build sea walls. In his free time, he was an avid golfer and bowler. He made shooting a 300 game look easy. John was a cat dad to his five cats, Gordon, Louie, Mama Kitty, Squirt, and Samuel Jackson.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Carmella Sylvester, Marjorie and David Hart; and uncle, Ray Sylvester.

He is survived by his, Wife, Tané McGuinness; Three Daughters, Emily Giamartino, Elizabeth Giamartino, Gianna Giamartino; Son, Patrick McGuinness; Two Brothers, Albert (Kitty) Giamartino Jr., Michael (Pam Kittel) Giamartino; Sister, Cheri (Jeremy) Wegerski; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Per John’s wishes services will be Private.
