John J. "Jack" Carney, 93, of Syracuse, passed away on Sunday. Jack was a longtime resident of Solvay and he retired as Head Custodian at Solvay Elementary. He played softball for over 60 years, most recently for Syracuse Seniors.
Jack was predeceased by his wife, Anne.
Jack is survived by his 2 daughters, Carol and Barb (Bill) Harmon; 2 granddaughters, Kelly (Tim) Harris and Erin Harmon; 1 great granddaughter, Anna Harris; and devoted friend, Mary Ann Bergamo.
Calling hours will be held Friday 4-6PM at New Comer Funeral Home, N. Syracuse. A service will follow at 6PM. Burial will be private.
