John "Joe" J. Janik

John "Joe" J. Janik, 62, of Syracuse, passed away peacefully on October 31, 2025. Joe was born in Spokane, Washington on February 25, 1963 to John and Carol (Pace) Janik. He was known as 'Triple J' by his coworkers at Gianelli Sausage.

Joe will be remembered for his kind heart, sense of humor, and deep love for his family. He found joy in the simple things- spending time camping, attending the NY state fair, and caring for animals, all of which brought him great happiness throughout his life.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother in law, Kevin Sauve.

He is survived by his daughter, Brittany (Tim) Meeks; cherished granddaughter, Amelia Meeks; son, Mike Meeks; three sisters, Candy Welch, Bobbie Sauve, Deborah Harris (Richard); brother, Jason (Anna) Janik; several nieces, nephews and cousins who will miss him dearly.

Family and friends may call on Wednesday, November 5, 2025 from 4pm - 7pm at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 705 N. Main St., N. Syracuse, NY where funeral services will follow at 7pm.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the SPCA or any animal shelter of ones choice.
