Joseph A. Pignatti

Joseph A. Pignatti, 76, of North Syracuse, passed away with family by his side on July 11, 2025. Joseph was born in Syracuse, New York on May 8, 1949 to Albert and Helen Pignatti.

Joe retired from Syracuse University, 2014. He worked in the maintenance department for 35 years. He was a member of Past Times Athletic Club for many years. In his free time, he enjoyed car cruises, fishing, walks, and spending time with family. Joe loved to go on vacations to Clayton and the Adirondacks. He would often travel to Montreal for Formula One races. Joe was a great husband, father and family man. He was always there to help others.

He was preceded in death by parents Albert and Helen Pignatti; a great grandchild, O’Brian.

He is survived by his Wife of 57 years, Valerie J. Pignatti; two daughters, Christine M. (John) Mandarino, Michele L. Porch; grandchildren, Zavier Myers, Talia Bachus, Kristen Porch; seven great-granchildren, Giara, Luciano, Lorenzo, Ayzon, Kialy, Eliana, Abria; brothers, Robert Pignatti, Paul Pignatti, James Pignatti; sister, Linda Haverlock; and several nieces and nephews.

Per Joseph’s wishes there will be no services at this time.
