Judith A. Trini (Sister Johnelle)

 Judith A. Trini (Sister Johnelle) of Clay went home to be with the Lord. She passed away peacefully on September 7, 2026 at the Francis House.

 Judy (Sister Johnelle) was a member of the Sisters of St. Francis of Neumann Communities and a Franciscan Associate. She retired from the Syracuse City School District after teaching for 43 years. Her special talent was with challenging students whom she inspired to change academic and behavior goals.

 Judy loved to care for her beautiful home, enjoyed traveling especially to the beach and spending time out eating with friends. She will be remembered for her kindness and generosity.

 Surviving is her sister, Joan Schwock of Tonawanda, NY; several nieces and nephews; great-great nieces and nephews.

 Judy was pre-deceased by her parents Joseph and Elaine Trini and two sisters Elizabeth and Linda.

 Special thanks to her niece and caretaker Jami Dardaris-Mohorter and the doctors and staff at St. Joseph's Hospital and the Francis House.

 Calling hours will be held at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 705 N. Main St., North Syracuse, NY 13212 on Friday, September 18, 2026 from 4-7pm. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, September 19, 2026, 10am at St. Margaret's Catholic Church, 200 Roxboro Rd., Syracuse, NY 13211. Burial will follow at Assumption Cemetery, 2401 Court Street, Syracuse, NY 13208.

 In lieu of flowers, contribution may be made to Francis House 108 Michael's Ave, Syracuse, NY 13208 and Sisters of St. Francis.
